This is a FLAC file with CUE information. It is about 180Mb in size. The original Over Barbara Island set was performed in 2006. The set was a washout (was supposed to be outside with Tiki lamps - was inside in horrible white echoing room because of rain) the music is pretty much my favorite part of the late Sevs recordings. When asked to do a set for Rainforest Rescue, Barbara was the obvious choice. However the promoter has asked for a more uptempo set and so it seems time to add a few new tracks to the original album. Aircraft and Monkeys.Barbara was supposed to be exotica - cocktail music, slightly cheesy and slightly spooky and it did that well. Return picks up on some of the ideas gridlocked in the Aerodrom project: aircraft graveyards, cargo cults, jungle. And monkeys, as this is my particular interest in the charity. So the theme is more about metal and palm fronds. |
